What happened here
Every year the surveyors drive the Golden Spike and a city appears around it. This year they pinned something else to the desert. They pinned the sky.
All week it comes apart. Pieces drift down the axis and bury themselves in the dust, from the Esplanade out to the deep playa. Forty-four of them. Nothing marks the spot except the lens.
Find them. Hold them. Keep them. On burn night, watch what you gathered go up with the sparks.
The spirit
This is a gift, not a shop. Nothing is for sale and nothing follows you around the city. It is a game about walking, looking up, and finding your people. It is also a small demonstration of what this technology is actually for. The same lens that finds a treasure can mark a mess that needs clearing, or a place that needs care.
The lens looks. It does not record. bonuz keeps no video of the people around you, and neither should you. The playa's rule stands. What you collect is light, and the people stay their own.
Treasures belong on the open playa, never where somebody sleeps. If one drifted into a camp, every item carries a Report button, and a human reads every report.
There is no signal out there. Good.
- Open the lens once on wifi before you drive in. The whole hunt comes down with it.
- Add it to your home screen. After that everything runs at zero bars: camera, compass, radar, all 44 treasures.
- Out there, just walk. Your radar shows where something landed. What it is stays hidden until you are close enough to touch it. Four show nothing at all. For those you get a story, and the sky.
What fell
◆ Dust · 24 pieces. The everyday playa: the Mislaid Cup, the Spare Zip Tie, the Dawn Patrol Coin, which only exists at first light.
◆ Mirage · 10 pieces. Further out, and some of them only at certain hours. The 3AM Grilled Cheese. The Temple Whisper. The Dust Whale's Song, after dark.
◆ Axis · 4 epics. Invisible until you are almost standing on one. The first exists only while the Man burns.
◆ Constellations · 6 pieces. Too heavy for one pair of hands. They sit where the big sound ships anchor, half a kilometre clear of the dance floor. Gather your crew and put three fingers on the glass at once. The Fallen Star wants five.
The pieces too big to fall
A whale swims a slow loop over the deep playa. A crown turns above the Man. A galleon of light sails the 9:00 sky, a dancer leaps over 3:00, and after dark a thread hangs above the Temple.
Everyone sees them in the same place at the same second, with no signal passing between you. Follow the whale. It flies lowest over something worth digging for.
The keepsake
When the dust settles, everyone who played gets a keepsake. Artwork, minted to your bonuz wallet. Not for sale, not for trading. Proof you were here the year the sky came down.
Some editions are rarer than others. The crews who closed the Fallen Star's circle of five. Anyone who gathered a full axis set. The dawn patrol. The artwork remembers what you did out there.
One thing worth knowing. Your finds live on your phone until they can travel. Open the lens inside the bonuz app before Sep 10 and your haul syncs home, which is how the keepsake reaches you.

Scout the city from your couch. The lens drops you on the playa map so you can learn the ground before you arrive. Claiming still takes boots in the dust.
